Anitra Griffin is a double major in Computer Science and New Media at the University of North Carolina at Asheville. She specializes in HTML, CSS, and Javascript web development. Currently, Anitra is a web tool development intern with the National Environmental Modeling and Analysis Center (NEMAC), where she assists on creating web tools for different environmental agencies. During her time at NEMAC, she contributed to projects such as the Coastal Resilience Evaluation and Siting Tool for The National Fish and Wildlife Foundation. In 2020 she also became a web and design coordinator intern for the Council of Public Liberal Arts Colleges (COPLAC) and a web development intern for the WNC Broadband Project, where she moderates and designs content for these organizations’ websites. Anitra is interested in virtual reality experiences and interns as an arena intern for Better than Unicorns. Anitra is also involved in extracurriculars as a member of the Order of Pisgah, the honors program, and the AVID program for first generation college students. She is currently the Administrative Vice President of the Epsilon Psi (UNC-Asheville) chapter of Gamma Phi Beta for 2019-2020, and served as an RA for 4 semesters. She will be graduating in May of 2021.
